The Hound Mound was our favorite local dog park - we've been every other day for nearly three straight months now. There are lots of dogs there and friendly people, and my dog is always tired after, which is great!
I wasn't aware of the age requirement before I headed to the park with my kiddos. After thinking about though, it does make sense. Beautiful park nevertheless.
Great dog park, nice people. Very spacious plenty of water to drink, and separation of large and small dogs. Easy access.
Honestly the nicest dog park I've ever been to. Tons of space, well kept, and large open grassy areas as well as trees. They have one area for small dogs and two for large dogs. They rotate the large dog area to keep the grass growing.
Unfortunately, for dog owners who have day jobs, the Hound Mound is no longer an option as a dog park after the recent Daylight Savings. The park does not have any lights at all.
I called the city and left a voicemail. I hope they are able to put up adequate lighting so the local community can regularly use the park again!
Nice sized park with wooded and field areas in large dog areas. Small dog park is in between the large areas. Large dog parks alternate around a month for grass to grow back and maintenance.
Today, after work, we were able to arrive at 5:45pm, our usual time, and it was already too dark to see and there were only 3 dogs there (normally there are somewhere between 15-30 dogs at that time). We were forced to leave nearly ten minutes later due to it being too dark.
