Warning! I was so shocked! The nurses there are good but I am not sure about the particular vet there. My puppy injured her leg. I took her to here, and he wanted only amputation which costs a lot. He didn't look much closely of her leg. I took her to another vet and this vet just took off the dead tissue and she is now running and perfectly fine. I was almost close to amputate my puppy's leg which doesn't have to!!
Banfield at PetSmart in Flower Mound has great veterinarians and they have a preventive medicine plan approach for our dogs at a reasonable rate. The Vet allows us to ask plenty of questions during our visits.
I guess I must have behaved way too naïve there, or simply the guys got an impression that I was stupid enough. Dude, even if I were stupid, it is simply immoral to cheat on stupid people!
Dr. Wolf and her team were AMAZING!!
I have a dog on a banfield wellness plan, but am a new cat parent. I made the mistake of taking the cat to a different vet, who gave me a grim possible diagnosis and did bloodwork and tests. This cost $300. Then they were unresponsive when I called, 3 times, asking for the test results, and when he started getting sick.
Don't have time... Kind of sad when you call your vet and tell them your dog is sick and the answer is they don't have time... go someplace else. I'm not trying to set up a "well dog" visit. My dog has developed a cough and I want him seen. Nope, "gee I'm sorry" is all I get.
The vet quickly confirmed that it was simply bugs' bites. However, mysteriously, my dog was still prescribed with a big bottle of antibiotics - worth of two weeks dosage, with 4 pills a day. Cost: about $50! Did not pay too much attention on spot about medicine. But at home, when I tried to give medicines to dog, I found out all those are capsules only suitable for human! You know, those kind of shining, colorful, plastic-like capsules. How the heck a dog is going to eat those? And then, it came to my mind a question: why the dog needs so much antibiotics for several simply bug bites?
So I did what I realized I should have done to begin with! I took him to Banfield and they worked miracles! They called the lab where the other vet sent the bloodwork to get the results, gave us the results, and treated him on the spot. He hasn't had a single symptom since and I literally sleep better knowing what's going on with him.
I CANNOT recommend this banfield more highly.
I take a look at myself in a mirror, as I am doing right now. Dude, anyone who thinks this person in the mirror is stupid, must really need to get his/her brain checked!!!
My dog developed a bald spot recently. Not sure if it was simply some bug bites or more serious skin malaise, so made an appointment with Banfield to see vet.
They also ran another very important test the first vet missed. Unfortunately they had to deliver some bad news, but Dr. Wolf did so with amazing tact and composure. And I can still sleep well knowing what his diagnosis is, and that there are doctors and staff that work so hard and are so kind.
